Fashion is in the air in La La land and the new fall looks are being presented by many of Los Angeles’s very own talented designers. Each collection tells a story and presents a new angle on what’s hot for Fall 2011 fashion.

LAVUK Runway show @ ACE
On March 11th at the ACE Gallery, LAVUK’s collection by Natasha Gindin entitled Infinity was showcased. It was brilliant! Her line was full of bold color and futuristic silhouettes. “Colors range from Tibetan influences of power orange, deep purple, natural and old silver to a royal richness in old gold and deep navy.” Infinity included sharp lines that seem limitless. An art deco influence of long lines and symmetry with crisp angles could be easily appreciated.
Who would have guessed Natasha was nervous about her runway show? It was a very fluid collection but she adds, “I was very scared until everything was put together.” Truly, she had nothing to be afraid of because her work spoke for itself. The clothes were not only desired staples but wearable both in and out of the office. Natasha expressed,” My favorite piece is the purple coat!” I agreed as she continued to reveal her second love, the halter power orange mini-dress
Another amazing treat about LAVUK is its eco-friendly and made in Los Angeles! LAVUK clothing is sweatshop free and made with sustainable materials such as organic cotton, tencel, hemp and dead stock silks. The pieces are multi-functional, with subtle details that allow for alternate ways of styling each garment. LAVUK is committed to exceptional quality, and design our products to last a lifetime. For every LAVUK garment purchased, a tree is planted through American Forests as part of the California Wildfire ReLeaf program.
As our chat came to an end I asked the humble and so-talented Gindin how would she describe her line to potential buyers, fans and stylists, she replied, “Inner beauty, unusual and constructed looks from simple, comfortable materials.” Sounds like a winner to me.
