2012 Winning Hairstyle: Day Tresvant’s Stylish Bouffant Channels Jackie O

4 Mar

Art comes in many forms: fashion, paintings, drawings, nature, and hair styles. However, we often overlook the talent behind the most artistic and fashionable hairdos, but not today.

Joan Crawford was once quoted saying, “I think that the most important thing a woman can have – next to talent, of course – is her hairdresser.”

Day Tresvant’s creative talents granted her first place in a hair styling competition involving 30 contestants who took their looks to the runway where they were judged, critiqued and scored accordingly. The students were given ten days to put together an entire vision and look to showcase for the judges, staff as well as other participants. The most compelling and appealing hair design was granted first place.

Day’s winning hair expression stole the show with its Jackie Kennedy Onassis embodiment. It balanced a modern bouffant with added flair. Day describes it as, “a bouffant but more like 1960′s meets 2012 updated version.” The models’ entire aura screamed timelessness and classy-chic. Clearly, the judges were equally drawn to her complete creative direction from the hair design to the fashion itself.

Day is a part of the future of hair styling and artistic fusion. However, her main passion is the world of hair dressing. While Day is still studying, you can take advantage of her skills by calling into her college, Beau Monde - College for Hair and Design, to set up an appointment with her for yourself (Portland, Oregon).

After I initially commented I seem to have clicked
on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on
whenever a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment.
Is there an easy method you can remove me from that service?
    Thanks!
