Just In: Maarten Van Der Horst For TOPSHOP

This is TOPSHOP‘s first capsule collection from Fashion East designer Maarten Van Der Horst.

The high summer seven piece collection embodies the Fashion East designer’s core aesthetic of mixing textured industrial fabrics with graphic prints and bold colours.

“Maarten, a Dutch born London based designer incorporates key inspirations from his SS12 mainline range into his first capsule collection for Topshop; heavy  jacquard fabric is worked into a masculine single breasted jacket, high waisted Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt all offer a flattering boxy silhouette.  These pieces alongside two silk button-down dresses feature a statement hibiscus flower print in a pallet of tropical blues, greens and burnt oranges. ”

Los Angeles Fashion Council Homecoming Event

It was a busy night but I managed to stop by a swanky, eccentric loft in Downtown LA where the Los Angeles Fashion Council Homecoming Event was held. I arrived a bit past 10 but it was still going on.
