Singer/Songwriter/ DJ Solange Knowles handled the tunes at last night’s 2012 MoMA Party In The Garden Benefit. She was spotted in semi-risque’ yet trendy green floral-garden printed  skirt that is actually half hot pant with the matching coat all by designer Flaminia Saccucci.

Solange is one haute momma who seems to be getting this whole ‘style’ thing right!

On the eve of the Grammy’s our beloved songstress, Whitney Houston dies at the youthful age of 48. If you’re like me you grew up listening to Whitney, with all of her memorable Billboard hits such as, Saving All My Love for You“, “How Will I Know”, “Greatest Love of All”, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and many of you may remember her in Waiting to Exhale, The Bodyguard and other films. Houston wasn’t only an entertainer, musician, producer, singer and actress but she was a mother too. I pray her daughter, mother, Cissy Houston and other family she has left behind.

There aren’t many artists that have endured the longevity in the music industry like Madame Whitney Houston. She has been singing since eleven and in the limelight since the tender age of fifth teen. Whitney has sung for the millions both domestically and internationally winning a spot in many of our hearts and she will forever be remembered, her musical talent and powerhouse voice will always be missed.

Today’s Obsession: Bullett Magazine “The Golden Summer” Issue

28 May

Road trip spread shot by Eliot Lee Hazel in Palm Desert

June 7, 2011 Bullett Magazine hits newsstands worldwide. This is an exciting time for a quarterly publication who, less than a year ago, was putting together the winter issue on a friend’s living room floor! The magazine has definitely spread its wings with the worldwide debut.  Bullett Magazine will surely be a continued success for the company and the readers.

It has something for everyone who has a passion for art, film, avant-garde fashion, music or culture. And, have no fear the creators of the artful and tactful magazine have no intentions of losing sight of their mission. Sah D’Simone, co-founder and creative director voiced, “Bullett doesn’t – and never will – try to appeal to the cultural bystander or the mainstream wannabe, but to people who yearn to see the beauty inside the celebrity and the raw voice behind the pretty face.”

Although, Bullett is relatively new they make up for it with exceptional features that appeal to both fashion savvy females and trendsetting males. Often publications are unsuccessful at forming this balance and tend to target one sex. The most recent volume is the summer issue, aka “The Golden Issue.”

Idil Tabanca, co-founder and editor-in-chief suggest, “The summer issue, to us, represents our American dream. We aspire to serve as cultural catalyst and a medium by which readers are inspired to go after THEIR dream- no matter what that dream is – one page at a time.”

Lulu & Betsey Johnson shot by rock-and-roll photographer, Mick Rock

One of the anticipated stories is “Prom Queen.” It’s a personal glimpse into the life of world renowned & one the most eclectic designers, Betsey Johnson. She enjoys an intimate interview from none other than her daughter, Lulu. The story unveils the designer’s drug of choice and how she thinks she should have been a costume designer. Also, look forward to reading about Lake Bell, Kid Cudi and Ziggy Marley. You’ll also appreciate the photo shoot with legendary musician, Lenny Kravitiz, who was given full creative control of his shoot in the Bahamas.

Bullett Magazine is refreshing, inspiring and relevant. Thankfully, it will soon be available in 12 countries, so mark your calendar for June 7, 2011 & get your copy.
