Yesterday evening I was studying when I heard a package being dropped at my doorstep and behold, it was a package from Vogue Insiders who had gifted me with not one, not two but THREE deluxe mini Eau de Parfum samples of Donna Karen Woman Fragrance! Can you imagine my excitement after a long day at the office? Well, I was smiling from ear to ear.
I opened the package and there was a mini box with a sleek transparent onyx colored Eau de Parfum bottle enclosed. I tried the scent and it smelled like a warm citrus-like wooden fragrance. It’s magnificent! I can think of a few people who would love this scent for X-mas and I’m sure you can too. And, I will definitely be sharing these with my friends here in LA. I think I’ll gift my extra two to my gal pals I see first!
“Discover the new fragrance inspired by all that a woman is. A fragrance created for woman. By women. Feminine and sensual. The strength and softness of woman is expressed through creamy notes of Orange Flower that delicately wrap the confident signature of Haitian Vetiver and Sandalwood.”
Over the weekend I starting watching a new show on Netflix, called Scandal ! Not only is the main character played by the lovely, Kerry Washington who is one of only a few African-American women to land a lead role on prime-time television. The first to do so since 1974. Now you can understand why I’m blown away by Scandal and much more!
The show is based on Judy Smith’s life, a damage control specialist/lawyer/PR Executive, who is a co-producer for the show along side Shonda Rhimes, creator of longtime popular series Grey’s Anatomy. The show is about Olivia Pope, a crisis management specialist who fixes clients. Beyond the plot of the show, it encompasses some killer fashion choices that Olivia Pope wears that make you want to update your business attire.
It never occurred to me that professional wardrobe could be feminine, stylish and portray leadership. However, after watching this show along with another of my favorites, Damages I want to upgrade my closet with a few Oliva Pope essentials, especially in time for fall.
I want this zip up off-white top!
I’m looking for a new trench but I think I’ll stick to camel but we’ll see.
I need to layer a couple long elegant necklaces, done!
The seafoam blouse compliments the entire ensemble.

I didn’t make it this year to the big apple to celebrate NYFW (bummer) but if I did you can bet my feet would be in dire need of relief. I would absolutely rock my favorite stilettos and pumps etc, therefore, I need a subtle ballet flat to store in my carry-all or clutch depending on the event. Tadaa!!! BALLASOX! Check ‘em out only $60 a pair! Yahoo!!
